 WHAT IS PROFHILO®?

A unique bioregenerative molecule made up of a mixture of high and low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid (HA). PROFHILO® contains one of the highest concentrations of ULTRAPURE HA, complying with FDA standards. The patented NAHYCO technology stabilises the HA within the skin where it integrates and restores levels of HA naturally found in the skin. Bioremodelling is an innovative approach to anti-ageing.

HOW IS PROFHILO® DIFFERENT TO DERMAL FILLERS?

PROFHILO® and dermal fillers both contain HA but work differently. Dermal fillers also contain other biodegradable synthetic materials (cross-linking chemicals), allowing the HA to be more ‘gel-like’. Dermal fillers are injected to enhance and augment specific areas of the face such as the lips, cheeks and jawlines. When carried out skilfully with the correct product type the filler should not migrate to the surrounding skin. On the other hand PROFHILO® is made up of 100% hyaluronic acid. Once administered PROFHILO® diffuses under the skin distributing it’s properties to enhance the overall skin complexion.

SIDE EFFECTS OF PROFHILO®

During administration symptoms such as pain, sensation of heat, reddening and swelling at the injection sites may occur. They generally disappear in a short period of time. Please contact your practitioner if you experience any undesired effects after treatment.

CONTRAINDICATIONS PROFHILO®

o   Pregnancy/Breastfeeding.

o   Active infection

o   Allergy

AFTERCARE GUIDANCE

o   Initial redness and swelling is a normal side effect and will resolve.

o   Avoid intense heat (sunbathing/saunas) or extreme cold for 24hours.

o   Avoid strenuous exercise and swimming for 48hours.

o   Avoid alcohol for 24hours before & post-treatment.

o   Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours. Following this gentle cleanser can be applied.

o   Do not massage or manipulate the treated area.

o   Schedule your next appointment for 4 weeks time.
